Take Flight

We all have moments in life where we see the sun shining so we get up and do something with our lives. That is the total opposite of how we should operate as Christians. Do you think God wants us to sit around and wait for miracles to happen? No. I refuse to sit around and wait for someone else to do what God has called me to do myself. People tend to wait for a calling, they think they need an invitation to do God's work. We already recieved that invitation over 2,000 years ago when Jesus sacrificed himself on the cross. He invited us to be a part of Him. We have been crucified with Christ and it is no longer we that live but Christ lives in us.
The bible tells us to take up His cross. Sometimes we get confused on what that really means. We often think that we need to take up OUR cross. When we start to believe that, then we often get weighed down by the thought of it. When it says HIS cross, it really means it. Jesus already took up the cross for us. We need to take up HIS cross, by believing what he has already done.
Let me tell you this, many people were crucified back then. So what made Jesus' crucifixion so important? Jesus was the Son of God, He died on the cross for the forgiveness of all of our sins. When He was hanging there, all of our sin was weighing Him down making it the most painful experience anyone can EVER go through.
While your soaking that crucial thought into your mind, take a look at this picture. I went with my mom and a friend to middle creek a while back. This place is known for their geese. During their migration, they stop here and rest in the lake over night. When it hits sunrise, the geese take flight in to the fields to feed. This is a perfect example of what i am trying to say. The geese sit around and wait for the sun to come out and then they take flight in to the world. Guess what? The sun already came out in your life when God made His first thought about you.

We dont need to wait around and wait for something to happen, because Jesus already provided us with a miracle. He wants you to stop waiting, start praying, and begin glorifying. Lets take flight into the world and do what we are called to do. Show God that you are willing to do whatever it takes. Whatever is holding you back, drop it. Lay it down at His feet and feel free. It feels absolutely amazing when you know you are set free from all your troubles and worries.

Dear God, we tend to get ourselves in a situation that we feel like we need to wait for you to show us a sign. You have shown us that it's unnecessary to wait. Give us the strength to drop everything that is holding us back so that we are able to drive ourselves nearer to you. Thank you for the ultimate sacrifice you have given us. Let us take up your cross and not our own, for you have done so already. May my words make an impact on someone who needs you in their life. I am only the one who will guide people into the right direction that will eventually land in your arms. There may be someone who is on the edge of falling apart and i pray that you will bring them back up on their feet and show them that you are all powerful and loving. Amen.

Happiness.

Lately, i have been trying to find a way to keep me happy. Over the past couple months, i went from being extremely happy to being disappointed. Stuff happened, things changed, and my thoughts were proven wrong. But as of now, i am regaining my momentum to stay happy. I met a girl that i grew a connection with right away. Even though we just met, i feel like i know so much about her. Yesterday we started dating and our journey starts now.
I also need to realize that through all the time i spent being upset, i should of laid my heart down at the feet of Christ and knew that He is the one that will always make you happy with whatever He does for you. God is always there for you, even though you cannot physically see Him there right in front of you. His love for you will never change.

So Jesus, i pray that you will help me realize that you are the center of all happiness. And i pray that you will make something of this relationship that i am currently in. I know that all things work for good of those who believe in you and that nothing is impossible when it comes to you. Amen.

Focus Our Eyes On Him

Can you see Him?

How about now?

Sometimes we need to open our eyes and look at things closer than usual. God is always there. You got to be willing to look for Him everywhere you go. Even though he is not physically there, He is there in your heart, mind, body, and soul. Galatians 2:20 says that we have been crucified with Christ and it is no longer I that live but Christ lives in me.
We are the blood and flesh of Christ. We arent just some empty soulless objects that walk around on the earth for fun. We have a meaning to life. Our life is devoted to God. He is willing to be there for you. It is your job to make the decision of a lifetime to give your life to God.
Open your eyes and see whats actually going on. Everything you see that is beautiful is Gods creation. So add everything to that list, because everything is beautiful...including YOU! Whether you think so or not, you are beautiful.
I lift my eyes in to the hills, where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord. The maker of heaven and earth. Pay attention to what God is doing in your life. Keep your main focus on HIM!

With all love,

Scavenger Hunt Sunday

This is my second week of the Scavenger Hunt Sunday with Ashley Sisk over at Rambling & Photos! I hope you enjoy! :)

Strike A Pose

This is what I came up with for 'Strike a Pose.' On a photosshoot that me and the "gang" went on was quite interesting. I think they took more photos than me this time! Well we were coming across my moms favorite road where she finds hidden hearts everywhere. There were these wild barn cats walking around in and out of pipes. This is one of the cats where i caught him in the act of yawning!

Footwear

Here in York, Pennsylvania, we have this thing called a Shoe House. No one actually lives here though. It was turned in to an ice cream parlor. What i really like about this place is the miniature shoe dog house behind it. It makes me laugh every time i see it! :D

Hobby

This is W! She is the co-leader of my "gang." She is also my second mother. Shes one of the people that i go to when im stuck in a situation. I swear, she needs to become a therapist! HAHA! But i chose this as my hobby because she is caught gettin down to catch a great photograph! Thats what i love to do! i love to go out of my way to get that one single photograph that would leave me speechless. She sat there for at least 4 hours trying to photgraph these cats! (Well it sure seemed like 4 hours) ;) But photographing is one of my few hobbies!

Shiny

As we were driving down a back road, i was blinded by this mobile trailer home thingy! The sun was glaring off the metal of it. It made me think immediately that i needed to use this for shiny!

Color Me Green

This one was an interesting topic. This whole day on our photoshoot, we never realized how many green houses and barns there are! This is a barn that stuck out to me. The color was perfect, the branches in the way fit in, and to top it all off, the shadows of other trees created more interest. I bet you half of the houses in York are green! HAHA!

Well i hope to see what you think! I hope you had a great week and God bless!

Scavenger Hunt Sunday

Hey everyone! I decided to participate in the Scavenger Hunt Sunday with Ashley Sisk over at Rambling and Photos!! :) This is my first time so i apologize for the tardiness on the post! Well here we go!

Smile :)

This is not necessarily a photo of someone smiling but it sure made me smile! This day L, W, S & I decided to go on a regular photoshoot. We thought of going to the highest point of York County, PA! We parked along the side of the road and the entrance to this place was on the whole other side! So us lazy people chose to climb OVER the fence. To me, this was simple :) But to the rest of them, this was a struggle! So seeing them climb over this fence, made me smile because they looked goofy! :)

Stand Alone...

I used this photo because it really hit my heart. To me, the expression on his face reminds of someone who thinks that they stand alone. This is a very good friend of mine. He loves to play his guitar and write songs. Some times I think to myself that he feels this way. I just want everyone to know that you will never stand alone. God will always be there for you! God is at His best when you are weak and struggling!

Something Old

Last week, my mom reminded me that there were old camera equipment downstairs in the basement. she thought that there would be stuff that she could use on her camera. We figured out that the equipment had no use for her. All the cases were covered in mold and smelled bad. I knew inside that I could use the cameras for something special. I decided to use the equipment as props. I set up a back drop and began to to snap away. There were some great turn outs, Here is one of them :)

Artificial

I had trouble findong something artificial through out all the photos I have taken in the past week or so. The only thing I could find was this deer. It doesnt look real to you, does it? Just after I took this picture, I hopped right on top and pretended like i was riding it while W is snappin' away capturing the silly childish moment! Thanks W!

Repeating Pattern

The other day, we went on another photoshoot! We are on a roll with these things! HAHA! I was having trouble with this one too! I wanted to capture the right pattern! None of them really stuck out to me. Then I spotted a trash can along the road in the city of York. I thought it was really neat and perfect for this topic!

I give thanks to everyone that has took the time to look over my shots! :) I will be glad to continue on this adventure with my family and friends! May God bless you where ever you go :)

Angel Above

Recently, I have been having issues with patience. Thats why I want to start this blog. Each day, I want to learn something new that will help me better understand why I need to be patient. It is so stressful because its usually not the way i worl things. I like to get it done right away and start my objective. This is something we all need to work on.

The past couple weeks, i have been getting more in to photography. My mom and friend have been taking me on amazing photo shoots to capture whatever I can get my hands on. Today,
Wendy (friend), took me on a trip to take pictures. It snowed last night so it was the perfect time to get out there and see what we can do. the thought of snow is so peaceful. As we walk through the trails, God's creations surround us. The sound of the moving water, the birds flying through the air, the ducks and geese squaking with their families, and the cold air that freezes your body. All of this is so peaceful. Lauren, one that I call one of my BEST friends, created a blog this morning. In it, she explained the peacefulness that she woke up to outside her living room window. She described the birds resting on the snow-filled branches making no noise. Now thats what peace is. Being silent and listening to what is going on around you. Sit and watch all of Gods beauty come before you. Being patient requires having peace.

Last night, I was up pretty late looking up poems and scriptures that could help me out with my situation. One poem really stuck out to me. It told me that there is an angel from above waiting for me patiently. She is the most beautiful angel that could ever come before me. She has a voice that can gather little finchs. She has the instrumental abilities that could make my heart beat as every note is hit. This is an ordinary angel. Ordinary will turn in to extroardinary. We just have to be patient and watch it happen slowly before our eyes.

Gazing into her eyes when we first met
I knew when she was heaven sent
All i ever dreamed of, an angel from above

She had no ideas from the start
true love, id found in my heart
one of a kind, love that LASTS a lifetime
All i ever dreamed of, an angel from above

Still, her smile, my breath it takes away
wanting, needing, to hold her, so much to say
all my prayers answered when into my life she came
to me, she is everything
All i ever dreamed of, an angel from above

Like the moon, stars, morning sunrise
so much beauty, so much grace
SHE'S even more through my eyes
All i ever dreamed of, an angel from above

Together, forever, i long to be
can you see, YOURE very precious and sweet
the only one for me
All i ever dreamed of, an angel from above

Your gentle words, your tender touch, life meaning so much
wrapped tightly in each others arms i wish to be
with you, i feel so free
A vow to you i made, forever, youll have my love
All i ever dreamed of, an angel from above

Jeremiah 29:11-13 is very meaningful at this point. God has a plan for us. We have to be patient and let Him do his job!

Dear God, I put all my trust in you! I want you to take over my life and show me how to be patient. I know you have a plan for each and every single one of us. I know that in the end, your turn-out will be extroardinary!

thank you

Steps To Glory

Today was a big day for me! I ended up breaking up with the girl that I loved! Lately I have been losing feelings for her. I dont know where it came from. I decided that I didnt want to countinuouslly date a girl that I would be miserable with.
We dont know why things happen to us. God will come out of no where with something that we will never expect. Thats just how He rolls! This reminds me completely of the story of Job. Satan came to god and wanted to be let in to Jobs life to mess with him. Job was an amzing guy who was faithful and courageous. God wanted to test Job of his faith so he let satan do what he wanted as long as he didnt kill him. Satan took away Jobs family. Job was devastated. He was questioning God. He started asking his friends but no one had a good answer for him. After a while, Job realized that when all else is gone, God is still there in your life and He will never leave you nor forsake you.
God has a plan for each and every single one of us. During His plan, he will take and give to you. Its like baking a cake. There are ingredients in the process of baking the cake. What do you think flour, baking soda, etc. taste like? Is it good? No! The ingredients in your life arent going to taste good but in the end, it will turn out in to a delicious, warm, chocolate-filled cake! Mmmhmm!!! We will say, Look at this master-piece God created!!!
What I am trying to tell you is that there are steps that you have to take in order to take your walk in to the pearly gates! Take on step at a time and be patient with God!
Thank you!
